I just had a great experience selling jewelry to Randy at the Jewelry Buyer. He is intelligent and recognizes good jewelry and he pays very fairly. I had experience in the past with his competition next door and this was a totally different and better experience. Plus he has a sense of humor and professionalism. Highly recommended.

This place is a great experience for a first time jewelry seller. Randy behind the counter was kind and friendly. He weighed my jewelry and showed me how he was calculating the price. He went on eBay and showed me how much my watch was selling for and gave me a fair price.

First time stopping by. The shop gives a very antique feeling and very is a very small shop. I got great help from a man name Randy in the front counter . I sold some jewelry and the price was better compared to others in the area. I will definitely come back later in the future!

I recently sold some gold "odds and ends" at The Jewelry Buyer. Randy was very professional and even educated me on some of the pieces I brought in. I felt at ease during the transaction and Randy is trustworthy and has a fair percentage that he charges. I would do business with his store again over going to the "big guys". Thanks Randy!

felt him to be a fair and honest person, as well as a humorous and kind man. he treated me (and the items i brought in) with courtesy and consideration. also seems to know his stuff well. interesting and knowledgeable man, and i walked out feeling that he had been more than fair with me, which i greatly appreciate. well worth it - a man of integrity and politeness, a sadly rare thing these days. check him out, if you have anything to sell. you will be happy that you did.

The owner is nice person who is knowledgeable and easy to work with. He also repaired a safety latch on my bracelet within minutes. I definitely recommend a visit.

Ok. So. I'm taking a big trip in April. Trying to drum up some cash and I have had a bag of my old gold and silver ready to sell "sometime" and that time was today.

Knew I wanted to go here because of positive reviews and small business owner aspect.... I drive by here all the time. Yet, as I pulled up I hesitated. I was scared. I was a pawn virgin.

I sat in my car. Pumped myself up. Put on my sunglasses even though it was raining out, and pulled open the door...

Small little shop. Proprietor behind the counter gave me a proper look up and down but more in the eyes...I have had easier stares at the airport. All good though, I actually appreciated it.

One guy was looking at stuff to my left. I shuffled up to the counter and said something like "I'd like to see how much I can get for my gold".

He weighs some stuff. We talk. We laugh. We joke! Even chatted with the guy looking at stuff over at the other counter. Was funny, really.

Main message: walking in was like taking and holding a deep breath. Once you are in though, you can exhale it's ok.

Super fair prices. Nice down to earth owner running the shop. He even gave me a $5 gas ARCO card :)

TL;DR
I walked in nervous --- left feeling completely satisfied. I would go again...if I had any more gold :)

Not sure if the guy was having a bad day or he just hired someone to write reviews. I walked in and he had a customer so I just looked at his counters. When his customers were done he just yelled for me to come over, I politely greeted him to no response. I had a piece my grandma had left me that I was attempting to see if it were worth any money (was appraised in '10 for $1600). Took the item and looked it over for a second and said nobody was buying.

Ok cool.

Decided to ask him about his ring selection and specifically about any repurposed ring type stuff. He clearly didn't want to take the time to show me or even talk to me for that matter. Just pointed me in the direction of his crap display.

I should have known from the outside that this place was going to be a shit box, so I guess blame on me for walking through the doors.

Visited Randy at his shop today after reading the reviews- everything was as reviewed! This is the best place in town to sell gold, silver or jewelry! I got a great price and Randy was informative and fair. I've used other shops in town- not as good a price and not as nice a buyer. Randy gave me tips how to sell items for higher prices on EBay than he could pay and explained everything he was pricing. What a wealth of information! Great deal on watch batteries too. Skip the pawn shop next door! Not enough stars ! Check out a fabulous place!

Honest. Real. Personable. My highest recommendation for selling your gold. I didn't buy anything so I can't speak to that experience but I'm sure it would be just as easy. And I even learned a little about progressive business culture on Sandy from the owner. I'm a new fan of this place and I'm freakishly critical about sales methods. This place was no frills fabulous.

I was really pleased at the price I got. Randy offered a lot more then the pawn shop up the block and it was a quick and easy transaction! Definitely recommend this place if your selling gold or jewelry, you'll get a fair price.

My husband and I had a really wonderful experience here. I had some old jewelry from my parents that I don't wear and, finally, decided to sell. The customer service was fantastic and I received a very fair price for the jewelry that I sold. I highly recommend this business.

I went to see Randy today and I agree with all the above five-star reviews. This place is where to go for a hassle free, non-smarmy jewelry selling experience. It was quick, easy and it paid off too...more than I expected for a few rings and a tennis bracelet I would never wear again. Randy is a good guy. You can just tell :)

I went in to sell a ring today, and have never been in a pawn shop, jewelry resale, or anything like that.  So I was actually a bit nervous, thinking I was going to feel intimidated.  I absolutely did not feel that way at the Jewelry Buyer and if fact it was a great experience.  Randy was friendly, funny and comfortable.  I didn't get the "used-car-saleman" vibe that I expected.  He was informative, respectful and kind.  I would highly recommend this place, especially for novice folks like me.

Wow! I HIGHLY recommend this place!!! I've never sold jewelry before, so I had no idea what to expect. My mother gave me some estate jewelry from her aunt a few years ago and I just kept it in a box in the closet. She told me to keep whatever I wanted and perhaps sell the rest. 

Finally, as funds have been very tight for me lately, I went to some random local shop I had driven by a few times: The Jewelry Buyer. Randy was amazing! He patiently answered my questions and he was kind, informative, and generous-- not to mention delightfully humorous. He looked through my box and I walked away with over $300 cash for just a few items within 15 minutes! 

What a sincerely great experience. I'll definitely go back if I find anymore jewelry I want to sell.

I have gone to see Randy two times to sell my jewelry and everytime I go in I walk away feeling really good about the experience.  I thought I about going to Larog and read their reviews, really bad!  If you have some old memories collecting dust and want a fair price for your jewelry I highly encourage you to visit Randy.  The next time have items to sell that is where I'm going.

This is the ONLY place you should go to!!  The owner, Randy, is so nice and takes the time to show you how he figures out the value of each item.  I learned so much!!!  I cant wait to go again!!  This is a person you can trust 100%  I received almost 300.00 for just 5 or 6 pieces of jewelry!!!  What a great experience!!  He even proudly showed me pictures of his beautiful new grand baby!!!  What a guy.

I have been thinking I should probably sell my old wedding ring set as I come up to my 4 year divorce-a-versary.  I read the website info on The Jewelry Buyer and saw that they offered to buy silver and gold.  This lead me to dig out my jewelry box and get rid of all those pieces I hadn't touched in years.  I filled up a small size jewelry gift box with... a 14k wedding ring + 5 other rings of varying metals/gems, a few pairs of gold earrings (some broken), a gold bracelet, a silver necklace and a few pendants.  Randy took my items, sorted them, weighed them and offered me a price of $408.  I asked about keeping the solitaire from my wedding set and he said it would only knock the price down about $25, so I had him remove it and give it back to me.  It's only 1/4 carat, but I figure I can have it made into something for myself later.  All in all, I walked out with $385 and they made a new customer.  I will come back to have my diamond set into something new later and also something simple like watch battery replacement they do for $5.  I didn't look today, but they did have a good selection of jewelry for purchase as well if you are in the market to purchase.

Absolutely fantastic they paid way more than other places and gave me cash on the spot!!! It was delightful! Walked in with a ring and a few short minutes later walked out with 80 bones in the pocket!! Take your jewelry here!!!

Skip the pawn shops and mailing services, and go see Randy and Austin at The Jewelry Buyer.  After going around to other places to get an idea, they seriously had the best offer in town, and it was more than fair.  I brought in some old items that had been sitting around forever and was more than surprised at what they gave me for them.

Completely professional, courteous and honest. Since he tests your jewelry and gold right in front of you and discusses the value(s) I felt involved in the process. Another place I went the person disappeared for a few minutes with my jewelry then came back and threw it all in a scale then gave me a price. Really like this place so much better and highly recommend them. five stars!

I had some ugly and outdated jewelry and some dental gold, and thought I would try the jewelry buyer after seeing him mentioned on a consumer news program. The transaction was painless, courteous, and educational, and of course the cash was great! He tells you the price for each item, so you can easily decide whether to sell it or keep it.

Excellent Experience Randy was AWESOME! He was courteous, very honest and up front, took his time, explained what we had, what he was looking at and offered us a value (weight in gold) that was substantially higher than other quotes. The monies were paid in cash, the process was streamlined and the professionalism, coupled with Rand's sense of humor, made my wife's and my decision so much easier to do business here. I would recommend this small, quaint yet personal store front to anyone wanting top dollar for their gold or  jewelry

I've never sold old jewelry before. I found a bunch of old junk that I would never miss. I found the Jewelry Buyer on Sandy with the help on Google. I took it to the shop, he looked at it, and paid me on the spot. That easy! I received five times more than I was expecting and the whole process took like 20 minutes. What more could I ask for?

Recently I sold a gold necklace, and I received excellent service from The Jewelry Buyer. He was friendly, and he was able to give me more money for my necklace than another local gold buyer. Now I have a place that I feel comfortable selling my unused jewelry in the future.

This morning I was driving down Sandy Blvd when I noticed a sandwich board advertising a business that buys and sells jewelry. I stopped in to get some information and found a knowledgeable proprietor ready to do business. Later in the afternoon I brought some gold and silver items that I had been meaning to sell. I was surprised to receive a fair price right on the spot. No waiting for mailing and the uncertainty of an unknown purchaser. I would recommend The Jewelry Buyer to anyone.

I had a wonderful experience at The Jewelry Buyer. Randy the Proprietor of this establishment is extremely knowledgeable and very kind. I took all of my jewelry that I didn't wear anymore to him and was paid top dollar! He was Very Honest regarding my things and I didn't have to worry about being ripped off. So Refreshing. If you need to take your old stuff in or buy some beautiful pieces, this is the place to go.

I came here because I needed to sell some old jewelry, and fast, for cold hard cash. The Jewelry Buyer did not disappoint. Randy, the owner, is really friendly and quite jovial, in comparison to the snooty treatment I'd received half an hour previously at Malloy’s Jewelry Workshop downtown.

Randy was not only extremely knowledgeable about the jewelry I brought him, but he was completely honest and candid with me about why he was offering what for each piece. Randy explained to me what each piece was worth, and I was thrilled to get more than I was expecting, cash-wise.
